Note

This research by the researcher of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of South China University of Technology, discussed the paper on the detection of nonylphenol and octylphenol in toys by high performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry, published in the important journal .

Abstract

A high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometric method for the determination of nonylphenol and octylphenol in children's toys was established. The sample was extracted with methanol by microwave, using ZORBAX Eclipse Plus C18 column, methanol-water as mobile phase, separated by gradient elution, and detected by tandem quadrupole mass spectrometry multiple reaction monitoring method to retain time and relative ion abundance (ion Ratio) Qualitative, external standard method quantitative. Under the optimized conditions, the method can complete the analysis of the analyte within 5 min.

The linear relationship between nonylphenol and octylphenol in the range of 0.001~0.10 mg/L is good, the correlation coefficient is greater than 0.999, and the lower limit of quantification of the method is 0.02 mg/kg. When the spiked levels were 0.02, 0.2, 2.0 mg/kg, the average spiked recoveries of the analytes ranged from 76.8 % to 99.0 %, and the relative standard deviations (n = 6) were less than 6.6%. The method is accurate, rapid and sensitive, and is suitable for rapid confirmation and quantitative detection of nonylphenol and octylphenol in children's toys.

Conclusion

Cigarette smoke was produced using a commercial water pipe smoking device, and coenzyme Q10 in cigarette smoke was collected using ethanol as an absorbent, and coenzyme Q10 was measured by high performance liquid chromatography. Coenzyme Q10 in cigarette smoke reached 131.6? 50.9g. This result has important guiding significance for the development of protective green tobacco substitutes.

Instrument

Liquid Chromatography-Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer (Agilent 1200 High Performance Liquid Chromatograph; Qtrap 3200 Mass Spectrometer: AB Sciex, USA); Electronic Balance (accurate to 0.0001 g); Microwave Extractor (QW-6HME, Beijing Xianghu Technology Co., Ltd.); micro-syringe; organic microporous PTFE membrane with a pore size of 0.45m.
